I have a different experience with Quote.com. Eric Hunsader, whose email address appears at the bottom of the Quote.com "Live Chart" window, has been very responsive.
Remember in the past when Live Charts didn't work at all on the MacOS? I emailed Eric. He almost immediately replied, asking for a Java console dump. After I sent him a dump, I received a new Applet in email. It still didn't work, I sent him another dump. After half an afternoon of this remote debugging, he finally got "Live Charts" working for the MacOS, having never seen Macintosh at work! :-)
I believe Quote.com's CEO (not interim :-) reads the Apple discussion on S.I., since I have also exchanged email with him. I think their service is wonderful; where else can you get free real-time plots of the market indexes.
