Ian, when would that be by date? I think advertising the benefits of
this merger is critical and a roadshow is a good way of doing this
since it affords both institutions and MIFGY execs an opportunity to
enjoy some "quality" time together. In the U.S. thats called
smoozing. Anyway, I see MIFGY holding at about 22 and with a series
of good roadshows, we could see it move back up to the 32-33 range.
The spread has narrowed but there are probably a fair amount of Arbs
who still have short positions in MIFGY which play out well in this
dismal market. Once the deal is done they will close out those short
positions which could give MIFGY a boost. Anyway, some speculation to
ponder.
