Steelguy, the corner convenience store is probably a legitimate business. If the owner told you that a mandatory change to the content of fuel in 2000 would limit travel and thus force more people to go to local convenience stores, and that it was estimated convenience stores would be a $600B market by 2000, would you invest? If the guy showed offered to show you his books, would it affect his dream?

I do believe TPI is a "real" Y2K company. I believe they probably have very hard-working dedicated employees. But I think management has misled shareholders and promised way more than they can deliver, and, as we've seen over and over, misrepresented things and just outright lied. That's the part I object to. That's the part that causes me to call TPI a probable scam.

But, hey, with all those new shares out there, perhaps there's incentive for certain influential people to get the price back up.
