MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--
Patheon Inc. (TSE:PTI) today announced third quarter results for
the period ended July 31, 1998.
Third quarter revenues increased 32% to $17,816,000 from
$13,541,000 a year ago. Net earnings rose 34% to $878,000 (3
cents per share) from $653,000 (2 cents per share) in the same
quarter last year.
Revenues for the nine months rose 36% to $48,833,000 from
$36,009,000 in the same period of the previous year, and net
earnings increased 47% to $2,485,000 (7 cents per share) from
$1,691,000 (5 cents per share) a year earlier. Cash flow from
operations grew 35% to $4,125,000 (12 cents per share) from
$3,054,000 (9 cents per share).
Operating income climbed by 41% in the third quarter, and 58% in
the first nine months of 1998. |
