Accepting statements based on inferential statistical data is very dangerous to your intellectual growth. Sounding knowledgeable does not necessarily make one so and drawing conclusions based solely on such assumptions can lead to dangerous conclusions. The fact remains that DELL is gaining market share on CPQ and if CPQ continues on the path they are following, they will definitely become the biggest box maker, but, their bottom line will not improve.
Oh before I forget, a take-over is a glamorous term for buying out a badly run company. Novel was the leader in Networking, toady, they trade for less than $12.00. They are alive, but they are not kicking. NT 5.0 if and when it comes out will virtually seal their coffin, but they will still be around for a long time. I hope CPQ goes up 'cos I have a lot of money tied up in it. Sound making strategy and good products go hand in hand. People who dish-out insults should be able to take it.
