<<We need Clinton's strong and effective leadership now more than ever. We are faced with serious international problems and with terrorism. Our domestic infrastructure is in need of attention. There are major problems with education and health care.>>

We do need leadership! If Clinton had anything real to offer on this front, education and health care could have started on the mend any time in the past five years. Instead we have had spin, posture, proposal, politics and show.

He/Hillary blew the chance to do anything about health care by getting it all wrong in the first months they were in office ... and incidentally lying about the process and how her plan was cobbled together.

To my knowledge there has been the usual talk/nothing done on the education front, even though he had the backing of the NEA ... or maybe because he had their backing.

His recent trip to Russia and China, handled by a Reagan or Kennedy, would have yielded something more than huge bills for jet fuel. The potential for deals to get economies going is there ... but the vision to put them together is lacking. Simple things: Russia desperately needs food ... we have too much ... Russia has more oil than it can use ... our reserves are dwindling ... instead he addressed a graduating class at some school, posed for photos and came home.

I am not going to miss the Clinton presidency, no matter how it comes to an end.
