Stock Moghul -
You call pitting one's education against a master's in EE, "...way over your head"?! Your conceptions of the limits of intellectual achievement seem rather pitiful.

You have a PhD I presume? The more academically inclined among us always seem to regard those of us who 'dropped out' after only a master's degree as second class intellectual citizens.

Maybe you're right - but in my case, by the time I got to the end of my masters work, I was also working 100 hours a week on our company, which had grown from three of us to more than 40 people, and I was married with 2 young children who needed more time with Daddy. I never gave a moment's thought to continuing my education to the doctorate level, and have not regretted the choice for a minute.

As others on this thread have suggested, the 'limits of intellectual achievement' only begin with formal education.
