Time to check in on the ol' Y2K short portfolio.

Y2K cultists keep screaming about how Y2K stocks will explode "any day now".

Fact is the Y2K scam artists were correct...the Y2K stocks exploded - right in their faces.

May 1997

ZITL 24
VIAS 52
ACLY 17
DDIM 32
IMRS 17

September 1998

ZITL 3
VIAS 6
ACLY 2
DDIM 9
IMRS 20

(Also shorted Y2K darling TAVA at 10 now 4.)

This simple short portfolio would have beat the performance of the S&P 500 and all the major averages in the same time period by a very, very wide margin...not to mention just about every mutual fund on the planet. Note that the majority of these declines occurred while the bull market was in full steam.

I was, am, and will continue to be 100% correct about the Y2K hoax and the Y2K stock frauds.

Not only am I good at this...I'm humble too!
