funk, TNSI
The MM's hold inventory. When you buy from their inventory you pay up,
when you sell to them they pay down. MM's also sell short when they don't have inventory. When news hits they move the price up higher and higher as they sell short averaging their price up. The higher price brings sellers and they cover their shorts. TNSI trades about 84K shares a day and today traded 177K an extra 93K. Todays extra volume may be short sales by the MM or it could be a large holder looking to get out and sells the rally. In either case the stock will come down. If the MM sold short higher and higher she will bring the price down before covering for a profit. If large holders sold the rally they will continue to do so.
