Michelle,

< Is this qtr slow historically?>

You've got to be kidding; first quarter has always been a clunker after the adrenalin spent during Q4. Customers are too well trained about Q4 emphasis and there's a subsequent drop off in Q1. This is true for just about every software (at least) company.

I think the numbers are good news and hope that there is a good sustained spike in the share price. I still think thought that the key quarter is going to be the second one; especially in light of the FY98 Q2 stinker and then the respectable FY98 Q3 & Q4. With a good FY99 Q2, we should see Oracle back into the land of share prices we want to see.

So, I'll keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow and the coming weeks and months, but my primary focus is on the mid FY99 Q3 horizon.

Just MHO,

Jesse
