Well, E'Lane, I guess I am just an extreme kinda guy :-) Being at the peak of racing season makes me that way. This is the time of year when cold fronts start coming through and big wind blows come from the northwest. Last race of last year the wind was a good 30 knots on the Bay, and we were on the edge of disaster, could have either capsized, given up the race, or gone for it. We hung in there, and came in 2nd out of 18 boats, just seconds out of first place. But I also fell into the cold water, and was about 10 minutes of dying from hypothermia before being rescued. So here we are again, and not only is racing season coming to its peak, but Digitcom is heading for the finish line, and it't time to hang on, even when we fall overboard, we need to climb back on board and go for the glory. |
