An electronic solution would make a lot of sense - especially given the difficulty in hiring good office help.

In the last few months I've put systems in at least three medical offices in which backups had not been made for at least a month -- all with ostensibly intelligent staff. In the worst case, it had been 18 months -- when a fire alarm went off, everyone was leaving the building -- but the manager was busy disconnecting the file server to take with her.

I'm not sure they're quite ready for electronic MRs just yet....
