Re -- COMS acquistion.

Not a chance.

Intel's products are equal or better than COMS and overlap COMS significantly (with the exception of modems). Intel has a better brand recognition, and is well on its way to building a reseller channel for the SOHO market(witness the sale of Intel's hubs in COMPUSA).

Furthermore the FTC would have problems with it (monopoly in NICS)
