chuz - I think Michelle was trying to break the thinking pattern with that groceries suggestion (and succeeded very well). Groceries have many of the attributes of the right product, but some obvious disadvantages. Some of the other suggestions I have heard have even more serious disadvantages, but the problems are harder to see. Starting from the things Dell does well at a business model level rather than a product perspective is probably how to get to the answer. It would be fun get it right.
