Always make sure you choose a home with windows on opposite ends. Then open the windows on both ends allowing the wind to blow the dust out. Storms have the added advantage of getting into those deep crevices and providing some moisture to help with those beer stains in the carpets (and most anywhere else probably). If you can not find a home with sufficient windows a sledge hammer will allow for convenient alterations.
