Doug, the way I do it;
I never shut off my computer and always have a browser page open for every web site I use. Right now I have 12 browsers open with 48M ram and don't have any problem. Leave the browsers open or minimize them to the task bar. But all you have to do in the morning is connect and all your web pages are already loaded. Only problem is it's a pain when the computer crashes or the power flickers off and you have to reload everything, but this usually only happens every couple weeks or so. Other thing I do is set the energy feature on the monitor to turn the monitor off after a few minutes so you don't use much energy leaving your computer running.

Here's an annoying problem I have;
If you delete a program by any means other than the control panel add/delete software, the program is gone but the add/delete software utility still shows it as a program you can delete. When you try to delete it, it just says program not found. If you've deleted a program, is there any way to delete it's name from the add/delete software list?
