Wideband CDMA is more than a glimmer in the eye of Interdigital. Korea is putting a lot of effort into CDMA technology and Globalstar with a view to dominating the future of wireless communications.

There is today a seminar in Korea:

SEOUL. The International Telecommunications Union is give its opinion on FPLMTS (Future Public Land Mobile Telecommunications Systems) in Seoul today according to Korea Mobile Telecom.
