Its nothing wrong with share counts, if you choose to do these things, but they really have no effect on the trading. Calling for certificates is a small solution but not the end solution. If you lock up the float... the MMs just refuse to trade the stock then your liquidity goes away.

Its better to trade ANY stock on its fundamentals alone. I am into an oil stock trading at .0X with a book of .7X fundamentally its a no brainer, and will be ok in the long run. This is routine in the oil sector... there is bargains galore due to the oil prices, the oil sector will bounce someday soon no matter what, if you can afford to sit out the current situation.

When global sectors go up or down, its beyond a single MMs control, then you make money.
