ALYA Opens New Development Facility in Europe; Corinex Order Increased to $1.0
Million

Business Editors

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 1998--ALYA
International, Inc. (OTC/BB:ALYA)("ALYA" or the "Company") has opened
a new facility in Poprad, Slovakia to complete development of several
new products utilizing ALYA's core operating platform, O.P.E.N.cortex.
The Company has also received confirmation that Corinex Group
a.s. ("Corinex"), its distributor in Slovakia has been advised that
the Slovak Gas Corporation has increased their order for ALYA's
Advanced Management Security System (O.P.E.N.centrix), including
doubling the number of doors to be serviced. (First announced on June
12, 1998.) The value of this contract is now $1,000,000 of which the
first payment has now been received.

Now that O.P.E.N.centrix has gained a foothold in the building
automation market, ALYA can leverage this market awareness by
developing new applications using its underlying operating platform,
O.P.E.N.cortex. This platform provides a "bridge" between
Echelon/Motorola neuron chip microprocessors that are imbedded in a
large range of building devices such as heating and ventilation
systems, elevator controls, lighting, alarm monitoring and other
process control devices, greatly expanding the capabilities of
LonWorks, the de facto standard in the building automation and process
control industries. There are an unlimited number of future
applications that can be built on ALYA's operating platform ranging
from process control to smart-card technology.
The Company's chief software engineer, Jozef Starosta is in
Poprad to hire experienced software developers. ALYA's new office is
expected to be staffed by eight people including six software
designers, and will be designing new products under license. ALYA's
chairman, Milan Carnogursky said. "The high demand for software
designers in North America has led ALYA to utilize our excellent
network of contacts in Europe to capitalize on the tremendous pool of
talented software designers in Europe. The shortage and high cost of
software designers in North America means that we have been able to
interview a higher level of talent than would be available here, at
very cost-effective rates."
ALYA will be visiting AZIS, the American Society of Industrial
Security trade show in Dallas, Texas on September 14-17 where it is
meeting with several potential industry partners.
ALYA International, Inc. (OTC/BB:ALYA) is a leader in
software design using Microsoft's(R) Windows NT(R), Echelon's(R)
LonWorks(R) technology and Local/Wide area networks communication
protocols. ALYA's first product, O.P.E.N.cortex(TM) is a development
platform based on these de facto standards directed to companies
implementing applications for end users such as building management
systems and process control applications. ALYA has utilized this
platform in the design of its second product O.P.E.N.centrix(TM), an
application for Security Systems and Building Access. LonWorks
technology is a de facto standard in the building automation and
process control industries providing a new standard for open
architecture and interoperable control systems. The LonMark(R)
Association, supported by Motorola(R), Honeywell Inc.(R), Johnson
Controls, Inc.(R), Olivetti(R), BTE(R) and Toshiba Corporation(R)
endorses LonWorks. ALYA is one of the first companies to develop "plug
and play" open architecture (ALYA's O.P.E.N.(TM) "Open Platform for
Essential Networks") hardware and software for the security and
control industries.
