Is anyone yet willing to join me on the dark side?

The news on the dollar keeps coming out bad. Have I made any converts yet? Recent negatives include.

**The growing trade deficit:

**The Greenspan about-face that could lessen the interest rate differential between the dollar and competing currencies.

**The decline in the U.S. stock market, which has given foreign investors pause about the future of U.S. equities. Remember that the U.S. must attract foreign capital to balance its current account deficit.

**The Clinton scandal, which is being taken seriously by foreign investors.

**A technical breakdown in the dollar, which is down 6% in the last 3 weeks and has retraced one fourth of its 3 « year bull move.
