TOBY: Your guess is as good as mine. Greenspan's comments left me scratching my head, and I'm still kind of reluctant to give up on the notion that he had some kind of plan which will become apparent with the fullness of time, but the feeling he goofed is starting to creep in. All in all, I think that 1997 will be a year in which the individual investor will make money with individual stocks that are well researched as opposed to profiting from an increase marketwide. I still think ELY is a huge bargain, but when bargains hang around too long, people start looking at them like they are day old bread. Not something for me to buy more of, unless I'm on a budget...
