Um, very bright. That is when their first real competitive x86
offering(K6) came out which is going to make huge profit and
you closed out your AMD position ?

Gary,

In February 1997, AMD stock had gone up about 2x from the previous fall, when I had purchased some calls. This rise was based on speculation about the K6.

I felt that a 700% return was quite adequate. I did not sell at the early summer peak, but was quite satisfied with my investment.

As you become more experienced with investing, you will find that it is generally a good idea to "buy on rumor and sell on news."
