You've inspired me. I just got out the wipes to clean my screen. I use a laptop for all my work, and I like the flat of the FPD. Less ambient light reflection. Perhaps the feeling of radiation is less also? When I use our desk top, I feel much more strain from the monitor even though it's twice the size. I use my machine at least 8 hours a day, and it's amazing how little I do to make the experience better.

As far as trying to jump on the DVD bandwagon, I did that way too early. I bought a maker of CD's and DVD's called Nimbus which was recently purchased. It never went anywhere. The expense of trying to get ready for DVD and then not selling anything has damaged all these companies.

LSI was another company which seemed to have all the right pieces, but delays in Digital Cameras and DVD killed them.

So, after all these losses, I figure the margins have been killed as everybody did whatever they could to sell through these times and they can't all of a sudden raise prices now.

In the end, the people who will probably make money are going to be in distribution and content. Maybe Creative is a good choice? But in the end, the whole introduction of this has been so badly handled I'd wonder if any investment in DVD is really worthy.

Regards,

Mark
