Semiconductor Purchasing Managers Survey.

eb-mag.com

Interesting survey and it looks bullish for semiconductor stocks. 75% think overall
business conditions will improve over the next 60 days and 63% think capicity utilization
will improve.

Some observations:

Semicustom chips (VLSI, LSI fall into this category).
Availability: 80% think supplies will tighten. Only 5% think supplies will improve.
Orders: 45% think orders will improve. Only 10% think orders will fall further.

Supply and demand conditions look very good here for a rally in the stocks in this
group.

Passives/connectors/ switches & relays (IRF, VSH fall into this category).
Availability: Evenly split so supply may stay about the same.
Orders: 70% think orders will improve. Only 10% think orders will fall further.

The supply and demand looks good here as well.
