Applications license growth is also hard to gauge in this quarter because: Q1 is historically dead compared to Q4 - so much for comparing this quarter to last, and, according to Jeff Henley (Oracle CFO), applications growth in this quarter last year was 95% - it would have been nice to see that again this year, but perhaps that's hoping for a bit much. I am going to the Oracle8i rollout on Monday. It is mainly an event for press and analysts. I'm sure the dog and pony show will be impressive (Larry had his NC crash last year, it won't happen again). The Q&A should be more interesting. -Michael
