Regarding the timing of the distribution of Leap wireless - *the "record date" does not mean s#$, only the ex-distribution date.** If you buy QCOM in between the record date and the "ex" date, you will catch the spin-off (and smoothly) just like QCOM shareholders who bought QCOM before the record date. Buy QCOM before the "ex" date, and you are all set. Jon.
