I went to Comdex Enterprise yesterday in SF. It was a big show and I talked to many people. The number of people attending were low. It was a great day to get people to talk about their views on the market, industry and future.

I saw the company, Keytronic, that is selling finger print scanners to Compaq. They have a scanner in a mouse, stand alone, and one built into a keyboard. I believe the keyboard cost about $140. The device is using a window the size of your thumb print, and the box is about 3" long, 2" wide and 1" high. So, the cost of finger print readers is getting very payable and they don't need to clutter the desk top. Could be interesting. They say they are getting a lot of demand, but then what would you expect them to say? keytronic.com

Regards,

Mark
