Steve, I thought I understood this but now that I read your response I'm wondering if you could help me out here.

If I put in a bid to buy at 2 7/8 and the current bid/ask is 2 7/8x 3 1/4 why would I ever (as an individual) see the bid change to reflect my offer. I don't know if there is something comparable to level II on options but isn't the bid/ask we see the one that is set by the MM at which he is willing to sell or buy these options?

Thanks.
Melissa
