>> This shmuck Starr spends 4 years and 30 + million on an
investigation (initially Whitewater) and ends up with the Prez lying about sex w/
Lewinsky!? Granted, his behavoir was far from appropriate...but tell me how it
adversely affected his work as president? Taken in the context of this whole drawn
out investigation, it seems to me he only hit paydirt at the end.<<

What has been found about Clinton is not paydirt.

-US is not an isolated country, and this incidence will not bee looked upon as a minor incidence by rest of the world; let him try to put a world alliance together against a tyrant like Saddam like Bush did and it would not surprise me to see that many former allies may back out.

-history of civilization shows that many a leaders have duped their electorates/kingdoms because of their vices; womanizing being somewhere high on the list. Yes, he may be able to survive, but how well, if at all is the question and during his survival the country may take several setbacks in various areas from lack of trust in leadership, if that would be acceptable to the citizens.
