It wouldn't surprise me to see companies forced into using this device by either EPA regulations or EIL requirements. This would be wonderful...but EVDS is not the only company with leak detection devices currently available and already in place. From your post, theirs is the most portable. Don't know if this is truly good for the company in generated revenues, best for the consumers. Unfortunately, the way things have turned out, I didn't get a chance to call the company, YET. I've been talking with other environmental regulators and getting a better understanding of what is available, so that when I do call, I'll be able to narrow the conversation down and get to the nitty gritty, I hope.
