Gary, The commissions cannot be beat: $14 ROUND-TRIP on a 500 share buy/sell, it makes it possible to make money on 1/16th. I have Spartan account, too (not for daytrading) and I thought commissions were $14.95 minmum per trade ($29.90 roundtrip). How do you get $14.00 commission for roundtrip, and does that include SEC fees? If you enjoy daytrading with FIDO and having to hope you can get through to a broker and hope he'll hang on the phone with you for a few minutes, I think you would love trading with one of the more "instant fill" - type online brokers. If you make a profit on sixteenth's, just imagine what you could make using your own direct-execution system. Most of the trades I do start off with a 1-2 point potential but may require being in the position for a few minutes or however long is necessary. Bill
