I certainly do have problems with Iran-Contra, but I also agree that in President Reagan's mind he was doing what he thought was in the best interests of the country. And one can argue that the others involved (Oliver North et al) were following orders. Which is more serious? Lying about a blow job in the oval office or lying about shipping arms to Iran? Obviously we have different answers about that one that reflects different political values.

My statement, while inclusive of Iran-Contra, was actually meant to be more inclusive of other matters and the Bush administration. Maybe sometime soon I'll have more time to discuss this. Have a good weekend.
