Hello Michael, good to hear from you. I can answer most of your questions.
Regrettably the stock has taken quite a beating, most recently caused by the world economic situation. Bulletin Board stocks tend to deplete very rapidly.
Major Projects we have in house presently happen to be with clients who forbid using their name in any promotion or press of any kind. I am not going to jeopardize a client and a project to have a short term increase in stock, then lose the client and project, that's dumb!
We have a firm foothold in the industry, we are proceeding with our show schedule and working with our Federal clients. In the Federal area, Bob has been instrumental in opening the door on a number of projects.
Communications Research, Inc., a subsidiary of Visual Telephone International, has a backlog of business that reach's into mid 1999. Basically I have a huge backlog and will have to add to the engineering and technical staff in the coming months as we ramp-up for the construction phase on these projects.
As to acquisitions, Visual Telephone had been working to acquire a company, Viaplex and the Russian economy collapse managed to nuke that real good. We will revisit it a month from now and see if the window of opportunity is still open.
As to the Pickens suit, there was an attorney conference with the judge on Tuesday. Pickens has one month to produce information, no further extensions will be granted by the court. The attorney indicated the trial date will likely be in January, 1999.
Essentially we are continuously going forward, we are not going away.
Carl R. Ceragno, CEO Visual Telephone International
