Alomex, It appears as though not only does Rational NOT remove licenses, but they have a program called "S.E.E.D." which stands for Software Engineering in the Educational Domain. While I don't know the specifics because I am unfortunately long gone from college, the program offers FREE Rational licenses for Universities. I recommend that you have your CS friends contact their local Rational reps to discuss the program. I guess the one thing I agree with in your post is this type of initiative is definitely "an indicator of how well or bad a company is managing its act." Still long...
