Monty: IMO one of the biggest problems is that no one knows exactly what the short position is on a BB stock.
The SEC has enabled this to be the case because there is no requirement for it to be reported.

Several of us emailed the SEC to have this changed, but it really needs the SEC to be bombarded with emails concerning this, and then maybe they will change the rules.

There should be a law/rule with specific penalties for not reporting short sales.
(on BB stocks)
Then it's just a question of tally.

Why shouldn't we know?

JMO.
