Are you all prepared to lose thousands if Clinton resigns or is impeached?
While I personally believe that Bill Clinton should not be impeached, I also would like people to ask themselves a question about something that will hit their pocketbook for sure, if he does resign or is impeached.
Maybe this should NOT enter into our decision, but it will.
Our dear stock market and the majority of it's big players love Clinton, love the economy, and hate uncertainty.
You may see a rather costly period for all Americans who have a personal stake in 401K plans and personal stock investments, if he does resign.
Before you speak your mind, or get all "high and mighty", ask yourself whether you are prepared to lose lots of money. This may be a harder choice than you think. Life is not so simple.
Besides, after this morning's speech, I see an embarrassed and humbled man who lied and made some horrible judgement calls, but did not exactly endanger National Security or bastardize the Constitution.
This is not Watergate or Iran Contra no matter how you cut it.
He tarnished his place in history forever and that is enough punishment.
On the good side, he may hopefully have given "Macho" men or even women who cheat on their spouses a lesson in how to "come clean" even if it took way too long.
So for the above 2 reasons, I vote NO

A BIG PS- What bothers me most, however, is the Senators and Congressmen, who have cheated and lied themselves, and the millions of Americans who have perhaps done far worse things, yet are speaking out in judgement of him. It disgusts me. Yes, he is the President and should be setting the best example of moral and ethical decency, but so should fathers and mothers of small children who influence their children's lives much more than a CEO, athlete, or President of the United States of America. |
