<< Why shouldn't I believe that the current crop of politicians aren't just lucky and benefiting from trends beyond their control? >>

Bad management almost always is destructive, whether it is a nation or a corporation. When I invest in stocks, one thing I like to do, is to research the CEO, to see his track record, before I invest in the stock.

This nations prosperity didn't happen by accident, that same as Japan, North Korea, Cuba, Russia, etc. economies aren't melting, by accident. In those countries, corrupt governments suck the life's blood out of their people.

Did Clinton, and his 2nd tier management get lucky? Well, the techno boom couldn't come along at a better time. Huge revenue gains caused large tax increases for both corporations and individuals, and went into government coffers.

If you want unlucky, that's what the American people are going to be if we have a refocusing of this country towards an impeachment trial, instead of what is more important to us.

I dread the thought of countless Congressional Sessions, day after day after day. President Clinton is entitled to his turn in court, and the litigation, once this case gets to the Senate, will take forever! UGH!

Regards, Bob
