J J J,

Courtesy of T L C,

On any page on the Internet, including a profile, you can
find out what the "code" is (the HTML language) by doing this:

right click on the page
left click on "view source"

You will see the codes for everything. Copy them down on a piece of paper. Let's try
it. Open up a second browser and keep this note on half your screen and the other
browser on the other half. On the other half, pull up the profile for "purething". He has
one of the little boxes. Click on "view source" and you will see, among other things,

<script>alert('Welcome to bullrider's profile');</script>

This is the language prompt for the computer. If you put this into your profile, you will
get an "alert box" that says "Welcome to bullrider's profile". If there is one mistake, one
missing space, etc. it will not work.

Pictures are the same idea. You find the "address" of the photo by going to a page,
right clicking on the photo, then clicking on "view image". This will show the image and
at the top of your browser you will see the address of the image. you plug that address
into the code, for example, go to this page:

pbrnow.com

See the "Professional Bullrider's" logo? Right click on it and then click on "view image"
and you see the address is this:

pbrnow.com

That is the "address" for those pictures (AKA "gifs")

To put those pictures on your profile, you plug the address into the code like this:

<img src=http://www.pbrnow.com/art/logos.3.gif>

and you put that code on your profile, somewhere where there is room to put it, like
"interests" or whatever.

Moving gifs are still gifs, same thing.

There is a thread on SI that has references for stuff, one of the posts has links for
HTML and how to do this stuff. Search SI for "glossary" and you will get the thread.
Check it out.

Hope this helps.

Have fun,
Phil
