You have quoted some scripture from Christianity to support this statement. Therefore I thought it fitting to answer you by quoting some Christian people who had sincere enough faith that they were prepared to endure torture and death for: " Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened.But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to every-one who asks you to give the REASON for the hope that you have." 1 Peter 3:15 (emphasis mine)
It is written in Acts 17:2 " as his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on the Sabbath days he REASONED with them from the scriptures, EXPLAINING and PROVING that the Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead. Jesus himself said before his death that "everything that is written about the Son of Man will be fulfilled" Luke 18:31 It is also recorded that after his resurrection, he appeared to hundreds of eyewitnesses and in one account 'said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he EXPLAINED to them what was said in all the scriptures concerning himself.' Luke 24:25
My point here is that the Christian faith has it's very foundation and basis in reason and cause. The atheists claim to provide reason for believing that there is no "god". they seem to esteem logic and scientific theories to the point where they find it insulting to be classified as having indeed a form of " faith". I would dare to say that faith not rooted in reason and logic, is weak, superficial, and could never endure the crucible of persecution evident down through the centuries. I do agree however that there is a point where logic and reason can raise itself up beyond it's intended use, and so quench the thirsting Spirit in us. We can not explain the millions of functions and intricacies in a single cell; what makes us think that we can explain the origins and the designer of such technology? We can grasp a few skeletal facts, and I strongly believe that these facts can stand under the pressure of critical thought and evaluation or they are not facts at all.
