Dave,
Started playing with indicators and basic scans a couple of months ago. I currently have no way to backtest theories as yet - hope to in the next month or two. I have started scanning for a change in the slope of the ADX line from down to up when the +DI is above the -DI. Have you or anybody else on this thread played with this? I have watched several stocks that have fallen out of scans the last two weeks, but I feel the market the way it is lately has rendered any conclusions invalid. I also do not get to many hits on these scans, so I am sure my selection of stocks is too small to be very conclusive.

Does anybody have any experience or thoughts on this? What other indicators might serve as confirming? I typically play with the indicators that have been mentioned on these threads (EMA Crossovers, MACD, StochRSI etc.)

All input from the experienced (or inexperienced) people who monitor these threads is appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

I almost forgot - your last few pearls of wisdom have been excellent.
I have read several thousand posts on these threads and find that the information is much more user friendly than the numerous books that I have read.
