For the Thread's information: The Compaq server management product has been refined quite substantially in the last few years. The standard product ships integral to all Servers and is called Integrated Remote Console. IRC provides Remote Server Management either sync or async (in-band / out-of-band). The optional product is the "Remote Insight Board". It provides far more control of the server than IRC as well as the ability to store a failure of the server graphically. i.e. - You can replay the last few moments of console activity at or about failure time, (like a flight data recorder). This product is also accessible when the server is completely down as it is battery backed up with it's own modem.
