Mory should pick up CIEN if deal with TLAB falls thru- I'm long both ASND and CIEN. Pirelli is probably not an acquisition option because of its size and diverse business portfolio. However, the integration of DWDM and ATM or DWDM with CSCO Gigarouter is dynamite and represents the next step in an all packetized network. CIEN is working with CSCO now as Pirelli is with ASCEND.
