John,
RE: Dell is on track to realize (in the neighborhood of) 17.5-18.5 billion in revenues for the fiscal year ending in February 1999...
So, dont you need to revise (update) those numbers/assumptions that you just posted..?

So Revised... I was taking current annual sales, not projections for the second half. The Earnings numbers still stand since they are based on multiples of current earnings, not calculated from revenues.

Take DELLs current Revenues $18 Billion and their current earnings
FW99 estimates after split to be around $1/share. (conservative now, right).
Look at the 5 year growth estimates.
35%/year. next year and then they get conservative to 30%
FY End revenue Earnings
Feb 1999 $13 B $1.03
Feb 2000 $24.3B $1.39
Feb 2001 $31.6B $1.80
Feb 2002 $41.1B $2.35
Feb 2003 $53.4B $3.05
Feb 2004 $58.29B $3.97

with a forward PE of 30 you get a share price of $119/share conservatively some time in 2003.

The above is VERY VERY VERY conservative estimate for 5 years assuming what the ANALysts are saying is absolutely correct. (never mind the fact that they have
consistently guessed low).

Here is the 'rosy' picture assuming continued 65% growth.
FY End revenue Earnings
Feb 1999 $18 B $1.03
Feb 2000 $29.7B $1.69
Feb 2001 $49.0B $2.80
Feb 2002 $80.9B $4.62
Feb 2003 $133.4B $7.63
Feb 2004 $220.B $12.59

This could yield a share price of $380/share in 2003 with a forward PE of 30.

I expect it to be somewhere between these two.

Thanks John for the correction.
Have faith and believe the the great thing can happen.
We all have and will continue to have incredible abundance in our lives.
