Paul - CPQ offered 'guaranteed upgrade' to 8-way XEON with some of the 4-way servers - this is a board swap upgrade. As I understand it, thermal issues in plugging 8 processors into the 4-way chassis were a key part of the original 4-way design. Maybe the upgrade comes with a free toaster option?
