I am insulted by the attitude that all males are the same. I am divorced and while I would enjoy having sex, I would rather concentrate on my career and raising my kids rather than involve myself in a relationship. I and many of the males and females that I know have no problem in controlling their sex drives and those that are married don't have affairs because they love their spouse or because they don't want the complications that come with having sex outside of marriage. As you know, two people are involved in having sex and when you have sex with someone you also buy into their baggage and their head trip. If I were being investigated for sexual harassment, I would not do this.
You and many people on this board dismiss perjury with an everybody does it defense. I lost a civil case involving many millions of dollars because the other side lied. Despite this, I was unable to prove perjury on the other sides part. Let me tell you that there is no better way to become disillusioned and bitter than to have to make monthly payments on a wrongful judgement.
Thanks to the women's movement and people like Anita Hill, I now have to work in an atmosphere of paranoia. An off color joke, use of four letter words, an inadvertent touch of someone in the workplace, an inappropriate remark or even asking someone for a date can lead to years of litigation, tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees and possibly a huge judgement. I have seen enough happen to others in the last ten years that myself and most of my male friends would not even think of it, let alone do it. The oval office is the people's office. I don't see people on the White House Tour slipping into the Oval Office and having sex. Why does Clinton get a pass?
Lastly, The fifty million spent is insignificant. Clinton's trips to China and to Russia each cost more than this. Again, I have been involved in extensive litigation. You don't win by throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. You take you strongest points and meticulously support them with corroborating evidence. The Star report has exactly done that. By the way, according to comments made by others on various sites, Star has been extensively investigated by Terry Lenzner(a Clinton Operative) and he has found nothing. Strange isn't it that Judge Star has no trouble controlling his urges and has not jumped everything in panties that has come through his workplace.
Just as women hate stereotypes, I can assure you men hate them just as much. Bill Clinton did not say on 60 minutes in 1992 that he planned on continuing his affairs. He made it clear that it was behind him. No we know differently. |
