Salomon analyst issues bullish report on broadcasters cbs.marketwatch.com Salomon Smith Barney analyst Paul Sweeney said Friday that broadcasting stocks are a good bet in today's volatile market. In a research note, Sweeney wrote that most of the radio, TV and outdoor companies in his coverage report that third- and fourth-quarter advertising growth is "in line with previous guidance." "Radio pacings are running up in the low teens range (some higher)," wrote Sweeney, "outdoor in the 8-10 percent range, and TV (in Q4) up in the mid to high single-digit range." Sweeney's favorite picks in the group: Clear Channel Communications (CCU),CBS (CBS), Chancellor Media (AMFM) and Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI).
