Not true Larry. What ever you have read is out of context. The Letter was composed of more than one line on one page at one time. In no case did I ever say "buy bre-X".

In fact for 3 years I have never held a single share of BXM. At 6 cents I had a little in 1992. I sold at 15 cents. When it hit 3.00 5 years later I arbitraged some for a few points. Clients of mine had loads. No one sought my advice on it after December 96. Everybody by that time was an expert.

In fact I said very little about Bre-X except to predict its price. I was right about that. At 26 dollars a share I also said that it would probably not appreciate any more and because of the difficulties in Indonesia, was a sell. Nobody hung onto Bre-X bevause I stoked any fires. Two clients in fact who would not invest in other situations that I tried to talk them into I subsequently found out had belief in BXM and where tied up in it, I had never talked to them about it.
