Herm Can we chat about this a little more? I've been looking at this in just the opposite way, and if I'm doing it backwards, I want to change at once! You say Example, bid 1/2 (1,000) ask 3/4 (8,000) Price is moving up! I was looking at this as there are 1000 people willing to buy at 1/2 and 8000 people willing to sell at 3/4. ("People" is probably not the right word but you know what I mean). So if there are more sellers than buyers the price ought to go down. And the reverse. If there are 8000 people wanting to buy at 1/2 but only 1000 people willing to sell at 3/4 the price ought to go up. That is, I reasoned 1000 of those 8000 would go ahead and buy at 3/4 pushing up the price. My head swims thinking about this now. Can you elaborate on your reasoning and maybe point me at places where I can read more about it? I'm sure your view must be the prevailing wisdom, so I'd like to really understand it. Thanks!
