the fact that every single one of these stocks collapsed should tell you something.

It certainly does... the stocks were hyped into the stratosphere and customers have not been spending the predicted truck loads of money.

Please to help me to understand how/why you perceive that the Y2K problem is NOT pervasive.

Software efforts of all sorts are notoriously late & over budget. Why would Y2K (the Mother of all maintenance efforts) be any different.

What have I missed?
