Vist Beautiful British Columbia. I live there and in the summer it is the only place to vacation. Europe is for spring and fall. This summer we drove up Vancouver Island. Went whale watching in Johnstone strait . Saw 17 different killer whales, each is identifiable by their markings. This trip was $70 Cdn, about $46 US for 6 hours on the ocean. We took a ferry from Port Hardy to Bella Coola, a 17 hour trip with marvellous scenery, saw 3 hump back whaales from ferry plus several more killer whales including one who jumped totally out of the water. This journey was about $110 CDN, about $72 US a person one way. What a deal. We camped for 4 nights, 2 on Vancouver Island and 2 nights by a lake in the Chilcotin. We had 2 nights in a little cabin in Bella Coola, saw 10,000 year old Indian Petraglyphs carved in rocks. Back into the Cariboo we had 2 nights in a dude ranch with great horse back riding. BC has lots of lakes and rivers to swim in. Come up here in the summer and enjoy. If you ski come in the winter.
